White Screen of Death and other Randomness

Is anyone else getting the white screen of death when they try to comment on a blog? It's annoying the crap out of me. I usually read in google reader then head over to the blog if I want to comment. For the last week or so, every time I try to do that I get this blank white screen. WTF blogger?

So sorry if it appears that I've been MIA from your blog. Rest assured I've still been blog stalking as usual.

I'm trying to break these beauties in. My 13's are still more comfortable and are my go to shoe, but they've got about 400 miles on them.

This is the card that B-rad got me for my birthday. On the inside he wrote in the website as '3xabear.blogpot.com' (Riley's nickname is the bear). Pretty original!

He also got me some toys:

The quickdraw water bottle that I'd been hinting at and a Nathan VITAband. More to come on the VITAband later, because it's a really cool product!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I have to work but will be doing my long run tomorrow, say a prayer that I'll be able to breathe!! Riley's been giving me kisses to make it better!

Tomorrow's the last day to enter my giveaway!

Be Nice or Leave... Pharmacy Fun v.1

***Disclaimer:  This post is a rant. It has nothing to do with running. ***

It has to be a full moon. People are out of their ever loving minds.

Let me just tell you. At work, and in life, I am CHILL. I do not get mad, pushy, or sling attitude.  I NEVER considered stuff like this when I was studying my booty off for a million years.

Let me just give you an example:
  • On Sunday (of all days) a woman called me a stupid b*tch. Seriously? What could I have done to possibly deserve this? I wouldn't fill her pain medicine early. For reals.
I have NEVER. Nothing like getting verbally abused for 12 hours. And unfortunately it's not just the patients. Some (not all by any means) nurses like to berate us. For example, one tried to call in a narcotic over the phone today (FYI you can't do this. The patient has to bring in the actual prescription). I told him so (nicely) and he interrupts me and says, and I quote,

"Oh, some pharmacists are really helpful
and will do this to help the patient out."

Can I get a big eff you? I have this thing called a license. I worked really hard to get it and I have to have it to work. I'm young and I'd like to think my license and I have a long, happy future together. So quit asking me to do illegal shit that could cause me to lose it. And DO NOT try to make me feel like a bad person for being like this. I will help a patient in any way I can. LEGALLY. Geez.

End rant. :)

Just A Quick Rant...

Okay, I just have to get this off my chest. If you'd like to keep thinking I'm a sweet, nice person, please skip this post.

Let me preface this rant with a few comments. I have nothing against Zumba. My mom loves it, does it about 3 times a week, and has lost about 30 lbs. I've taken several classes and have always enjoyed myself. Will I keep taking Zumba classes here and there? YES. Do I feel like I get a great workout? No. Do I think it's better than sitting on the couch? Of course. If Zumba makes you enjoy working out, I think that's great.

But there are a few things that I think aren't great... So I'd like to share my open letter to the Zumba'ers (They probably have some cool name for themselves but I'm not cool so I don't know it)

Quit bee boppin' all over the gym in your 'zumba gear'. Go to the studio, zumba, then leave. Don't run in and out of the studio fifty 'leven times prancing in front of all of us sweating it out in misery on the treadmills.

I respect that you are here to work out, please respect that I am also trying to work out. Don't stand 2 inches away from my treadmill and have loud and lengthy discussions about the new routine or your new outfit. I don't come in the studio and make you listen to me talk about my Garmin or my new Mizuno's.

Do you really need to wear these kind of shoes? I would think the best part of Zumba would be picking out some hot, bright Nikes. Clue number 1 that you're taking this way too seriously.
And lastly, don't diss those of us who like to sweat and don't point our toes and live up to your serious Zumba standards.  Because news flash, we aren't trying out for So You Think You Can Dance. And some of us sweat when we work out. This whole rant came about because of this one snooty girl. About 20 of us had just finished a pump class and we're putting up our weights and stuff. People start coming in for the next class (ZUMBA) and this girl (who I could break in half and seriously considered doing so) says, "Ugh I just LOVE how this room always smells after that class." Get over yourself.

** FYI, if you're a new reader, please come back tomorrow. I'll make sure I eat some chocolate and put my nice face on.

Let's be clear, I'd be a Gryffindor not Slytherin

3.6 ish miles approximately 11:00 pace

Why am I estimating mileage and pace? Because my Garmin was being a punk. It searched for satellites for so freaking long that it tried to go into power save. You've gotta be kidding me. After about 11 years I finally just said forget it and took off. It quit being a d-bag at some point.

About 10 minutes later, I notice something stretched across the trail. A big fat snake. I tossed a few rocks at it to get it to scoot along. Dummy me didn't think about the fact that I would have to come right back through there.

So the whole way back I was freaking out that I was gonna get bit by a snake. You'd think it would've increased my pace. You'd think.
