I have a confession. I've only ran once since the half. I don't know what my deal is. What have I been doing?
Drinking lots of diet cherry limeade:
Getting my eyes checked and dilated... Check out these amazing shades:
There are no words for this. That's why I took a picture to share with you all.
So before you quit following and write me off thinking this is what my posts will consist of from now on... Just hold on a hot minute.
I've got to make a plan. I do well with plans. It's just that I've got limitless options as to what I want to accomplish.
Do I concentrate on weight loss?
Do I concentrate on running for 1 more month (thru the end of October)? I've signed up for a 5k and 8k and I'm doing them no matter what. The Haunted Half website is still being super dumb so I haven't been able to sign up. Should I?
Do I concentrate on strength training?
What about yoga?
Biking/spinning?
Or I could just keep eating ice cream, sitting on my butt, watching true blood, and teaching Rileybear how to hit his dougie (he's really good, I promise!).
It's time to step up my game.

ALTHOUGH eating ice cream, sitting on your booty, watching true blood, and teaching Rileybear how to hit his dougie sounds AMAZING -- I would suggest incorporating strength training AND yoga (or pilates) into your workout routine. I'm a huge fan of weight training especially because running can really lean you out. Pilates and/or yoga is awesome merely for the flexibility you gain, in addition to a solid core workout:)
ReplyDeleteI say get back out there and do some running! but make sure it is fun and stick some cross training in the plan! My favorite is BodyRock.tv
ReplyDeleteI think you have to find the mix that works for you and that may change from week to week! The Haunted Half sounds like a really fun race!
ReplyDeleteFunny, lots of people are looking at supplementing their winter running with other activities.
ReplyDeleteFor me it will be strength training, Pilates, conditioning my legs and training for a Spring half.
I'm on a running and spinning kick right now. Spin is such a good pump-up activity!! :)
ReplyDeleteNew follower here!! Get back out there and run! I try to run as long as the weather is manageable. I will probably be running until early November and then I switch up my workouts. More strength focused, cross training, and EATING! Check my blog out if you have time! www.theathletarian.com :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, even if I am not training, I still feel like I need a plan of some sort lol
ReplyDeleteConcentrate on what your body is craving, if it's craving running, then run, if it's yoga, then do yoga. Just do whatever makes you happy!
