Just a Friendly Reminder!

First, tomorrow is the last day to enter the Secret Santa Sock Swap! I'm so excited and thankful for all of you who have signed up, I definitely did not expect such a great turnout! If you want to get in on the fun, email me before Friday at midnight!! 3xacharmrunner@gmail.com [and if you participate you could win a $15 iTunes giftcard!!].
We're heading to my old Kentucky home tomorrow! I'm so excited. We're planning on helping baby brother decorate his classroom for Christmas, going to a wedding, going ziplining, and just spending lots of QT with the fam.

What are your weekend plans? Have you signed up for the sock swap yet?

Catch Up!

Friday Brad and I loaded up the car and headed to the Bluegrass State. I made us a new road mix and he did most of the driving (love it when that happens).
So I put my feet up, rocked out to the road mix, and read once we'd listened to the CD all the way through. I started the Sookie Stackhouse books a few weeks ago at the insistence of one of my friends. She pretty much always recommends great books (she introduced me to the Hunger Games) so I gave them a shot. They're pretty good and I'm reading the seventh one now.

I usually like series books, I like getting to know the characters more than you would in just one book. I also read the Stephanie Plum books and just downloaded the newest one to my Kindle, but I can't quit reading the others long enough to start it.

These are great to read while you're running, because they're mindless but fun.

I signed up to run a 5K this weekend in Asheville, but one of our friends from pharmacy school decided to get married this weekend and we wanted to be there for it. It was a really great weekend and it was so nice to see some of our friends.

I may or may not have suggested we all get fro-yo while we caught up.
I did my long run on Saturday and I'm going to do a little recap of that later. It was full of memories!

For now I'm off to get my 5 miler in!

Just a typical Friday grocery run at 730am...

This morning I had to get up super early (for a day off) and run errands before leaving for KY. I had a hair appointment with my awesome aunt at 2pm so I had to get going. On the agenda-- Weight Watchers weigh in, grocery store, and pick up breakfast for my silly face husband who was in bed the whole time!

I lost another 0.8 lbs. Not awesome but a loss none the less (is that all one word?). Then I treated myself to Panera for breakfast. I made smoothies to go with.
If I was a good wife I woulda taken this up to B-rad in bed... But I'm not so I woke him up by throwing a pillow at him instead. Mature, I know.

While my cinnamon crunch bagel was delicious, the best part of my morning by far was taking this buggy (yes I'm from the south and they aren't shopping carts) through the checkout:
Awkward much?

Hope you all have a great weekend!

i just went on an iTunes shopping spree...

Workout:  Ran 3.1 miles (31:13) and walked another mile.

I am sofreakinghappy that I'm off work for the next three days! B-rad and I are heading to KY tomorrow, so I just blew up iTunes so we'd have some jams for the ride. Here's a sampling of what I purchased:

Yeah, like I said. Blew up. Then I found this gem:
69 cent Michelle Branch songs? Yes please. Although I'm not sure what happened to her.

Have you found any good music lately? You really need to download 'Talking to the Moon' by Bruno Mars. Soo good.
