You also want to make sure you're burning more calories than you're consuming in a day -- and realize the more you work out, the hungrier you'll be, so you'll want to have quality food in reach. <br /><br />I am a huge advocate for writing down what you eat... if you don't use a journal, MyFitnessPal is a good app for monitoring your intake. I actually use the daily/hourly planner to record my exact workouts and what I consume each day. If I deny myself the sweet things I later go overboard on them, so I let myself have a little something sweet everyday but just a small piece.
